The Water Department of the Municipality of Funchal, responsible for managing the municipality’s water supply system, began a collaboration with Baseform in January 2026 to strengthen its active water loss control strategy. This partnership comes within the framework of implementing its leakage monitoring and reduction plan, a key challenge in ensuring the operational efficiency and sustainability of the city’s water resources. Through a data-driven approach, the collaboration aims to support the technical team in identifying anomalies more quickly, prioritizing interventions, and continuously improving network performance. The adoption of the Baseform platform will enable the consolidation of dispersed information and its transformation into actionable indicators that support the prioritization of network interventions, facilitating more informed decision-making and a more proactive approach to infrastructure management.
