A progressive water utility serving 35k households through 1100 km (680mi) of water mains, Santarém was one of the earliest adopters of Baseform's billing management and customer meter management capabilities.

Santarém's team run a demanding meter management and replacement programme in order to both increase commercial effectiveness, and quantify and tackle apparent losses.

Baseform's software has been instrumental in rationalizing the prioritization of meter inspections, with a focus on:

(i) meter georeferencing validation

(ii) detection of zero consumption meters (legitimate or fraudulent) or abnormal consumption meters

(iii) detection of oversized meters

(iv) optimization of meter replacement prioritization
