Collaboration with leading Swiss university leads to promising back-tracing model

Our research and development continues to render new groundbreaking tools for water professionals worldwide.

Joint R&D work between Baseform and EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland) has produced a leading-edge new model for back-tracing travel paths to specific consumption points in water distribution networks.

The new capability in the Baseform portfolio makes it possible to introduce groundbreaking analytics related not just to water quality — e.g., instantly retrieving the most likely routes for back-tracing detected pollution — but also to identify and assign capital or O&M costs to the infrastructure needed to service individual buildings, blocks or network sectors.
